The Asian Sports Foundation is a UK national governing organisation. Asian Sports Foundation's leaders have a history of campaigning for equality and inclusion for Asian communities in sport, and have delivered tangible projects which break down cultural and religious barriers and provide sporting benefits to a much under-represented community. ASF’s leaders are prominent Asians in Sport and business.
Vision and Objectives
Vision: To change the lives of Asians through the power of SPORT
- To encourage and increase participation in SPORT by Asian communities in the UK and abroad.
- To use the power of SPORT to improve health & wellbeing amongst Asian communities in the UK and abroad.
- To use the power of SPORT at home and in Asian countries to create safe, inclusive education and life-skills based programmes for children affected by poverty, conflict or family breakdown. To use ASF’s status, experience and ambassadors to develop SPORTS-led programmes in marginalised communities within the UK and Asian nations, promoting social cohesion, education and health.
- To campaign for home and overseas SPORTS, National Governing Bodies, clubs and committees to recognise and deliver on their responsibilities for equal inclusion for minority ethnic communities.
